Saphia's Circus is based in Nottingham, and travels around schools and organisations in Nottinghamshire and the surrounding counties.
We visit schools for one full day, setting up in a school hall. Each class spends an agreed amount of time with us learning Circus Skills, beginning with a brief introduction to the equipment.

For the remainder of the time, the children use the items supplied with assistance from ourselves.

Subject to the weather, we can spend a part of the dinner break in the playground doing "double skipping" and other outdoor activities if required.

This would then be followed by four workshops - one evening a week after school, culminating in a show performed by the children. Their parents, relatives and friends are invited to watch the show, and circus equipment is available for sale afterwards.

We carry a wide range of equipment including: juggling balls,diabolos, stilts, pedal gos, spinning plates, poi and flower sticks and can teach the use of all of these.
The children are introduced to the equipment and are then free to experiment with it themselves with assistance from the workshop leaders. The whole emphasis is on learning whilst having fun.

Mission

Saphia's Circus, dedicated to providing first class workshops - teaching circus skills primarily in schools around the Nottinghamshire area.
Also we now provide Skipping Workshops.

In addition to this, we are available for Fun Days, Youth Clubs, Church Groups, Guides, Brownies, Scouts and similar organisations.

Another approach to Circus Workshops for older groups is to provide the equipment for the participants to use as they see fit.
We are then available to provide instruction and advice.
